Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Indoor Track and Field team continued their Rookie of the Week dominance this week, grabbing their sixth honor in six meets, as first year Jadah Stokes (Savannah, GA) claimed her fifth MASCAC Rookie of the Week after claiming the top spot in the Weight Throw and Shot Put this past Saturday at the MASCAC Championships.
Stokes would throw 11.48m in the shot put and 13.90m in the weight throw to claim first in each event.
Receiving honorable mention on the week junior Carly Gilson (Grafton, MA) who claimed second in the 400m with a time of 62.60 seconds. She would also return to action to assist the 4x400m team claim second in the MASCAC Championship with a time of 4:41.35.
Worcester State is back in action next Saturday when they head to the Pre-Post Season Invitational in their bid to claim some last qualifying marks for the NCAA DIII Regional Championships.
