SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Worcester State University women's outdoor track & field team took a 16^th place finish, out of 18 teams competing, at American International College's 7^th Annual Yellow Jacket Invitational on Saturday.

Four Lancers scored in their respective events, to total a team score of 16.33.

Abigail Danso (Worcester, Mass.) chalked up six points for the Lancers as she recorded a 3^rd place finish in the 100 Meter Hurdles in a time of 15.71. She also competed in the 400 Meter Hurdles for the first time, and came in 14^th (1:15.44).

Shayla Schoeneberger (Vernon, Conn.) tallied six additional points for the Blue and Gold as she completed the 3000 Meter Steeplechase in a time of 14:28.50.

Stephanie McFadries (Burlington, Mass.) earned four points for her team, as she placed 5^th in the javelin throw (36.70m).

Haley Moss (Melrose, Mass.) was the sole Lancer to score in the jumps, and tied for 8^th place in the high jump (1.50m).

Elizabeth McCormack (Gloucester, Mass.) competed in both the discus throw and hammer throw, marking distances of 30.81m and 37.08m, respectively. Caitlyn Brennan (Dedham, Mass.) came in 16^th in the hammer throw (36.81m), while Carina Frontiero (Ispwich, Mass.) marked a 17^th place finish in the shot put (10.09m).

Doreen Buabeng (Worcester, Mass.) was the top Lancers to finish in both the 100 and 200 Meter Dashes. She marked a 10^th place finish in the 100M (12.91) and 23^rd place in the 200M (27.12). Rachel Stier (Mansfield, Mass.) guided the Lancers in the 400 Meter Dash as she came in 12^th in a time of 1:02.42.

Danielle Bavoux (Medway, Mass.) placed 15^th in the 800 Meter run (2:30.06), Mia Rogers (N. Dighton, Mass.) came in 15^th in the 1500 Meter Run (5:09.65), and Laura DelleChiaie (Haverhill, Mass.) marked 19^th in the 5000 Meter Run (19:52.45).

Next up, the Lancers travel to Fitchburg State on Saturday, April 15.
