Donohue Paces Women's Cross Country At UMass Dartmouth Invitational

 

N. Dartmouth, MA --- Senior Erin Donohue (Saugus, MA) placed 60th out of 293 runners as she helped propel the Worcester State women's cross country team to 24th at the UMass Dartmouth Shriners Invitational this afternoon.

MIT junior Brooke Johnson (Shoreham, NY) the race with a time of 18:25 while the Lancers were the second-highest MASCAC school to finish as a team.

Donohue timed 19:53 in her first race of the season.

Coming in second for the Blue and Gold was junior Jenna Pickard (Peabody, MA) who added 141st (20:55) as senior Natalie Marchi (Northbridge, MA) timed 154th by clocking 21:00.

Sophomore Chelsey Peso (Uxbridge, MA) notched 166th (21:07), junior Ali Barrett (Hingham, MA) recorded 180th (21:18) and second-year Courtney Godfrey (Danvers, MA) registered 206th (21:57).

In her second season as a Lancer, Maggie Ingraham (Danvers, MA) rounded out the top seven with a finish of 218th (22:17).

Next week the Blue and Gold will host the Worcester City Meet at Moore State Park in Paxton, MA.
