Buzzards Bay, MA --- Senior Erin Donohue (Saugus, MA) has been selected MASCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for helping lead Worcester State this past Saturday at the 28th Annual Worcester City Meet.

Donohue posted seventh for the Lancers at the City Meet with a time of 20:41 over the 5k layout which was held at Moore State Park in Paxton. She clocked her best time of her career on the course to help the Blue and Gold take home the runner-up trophy at the meet for the third consecutive season.

Thus far this campaign, Donohue has had a tremendous start, with a time that was of 60th out of 293 runners at the UMass Dartmouth Shriners Invitational on September 15.

A two-time All-MASCAC runner, Donohue has also earned All-New England Alliance honors twice in her Worcester State career. In 2011, she finished in seventh overall to help the Lancers place second at the conference meet held at UMass Dartmouth.

Donohue is also school record holder in the indoor 3,000 meters (10:36.03) and 5,000 (18:28.30) as well as the outdoor 5,000 (18:40.63) and 10,000 (39:33.80) - three marks which were reset within the last year.

On Saturday, the Blue and Gold will compete at the Tri-States Invitational hosted by CCRI.
