Grueter Paces Women's Cross Country At Western New England Invitational

 

Springfield, MA --- Senior Brittany Grueter (Foxboro, MA) timed 20:14 which was good for 19th place as she helped propel the Worcester State women's cross country team to sixth place at the Western New England Invitational this afternoon on their campus course.

The race included 23 different institutions and a field that featured 214 runners from all around New England.

Junior Jenna Pickard (Peabody, MA) crossed the line in 33rd (20:45) as sophomore Jennifer Cardinal (Chicopee, MA) was just four seconds off in 36th (20:49). Junior Ali Barrett (Hingham, MA) added 48th (21:04) while senior Natalie Marchi (Northbridge, MA) placed 59th (21:25).

The group was rounded out by second-year Maggie Ingraham (Danvers, MA) who added 109th (23:08) and senior Nicole Boudreau's (S. Windsor, CT) 112th finish (23:21).

WSU runs again in two weeks when they head to Stanley Park at Westfield State for the MASCAC/Alliance Championships.
