Berg Leads Lancers at DIII New England Championship

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women's Cross Country team took to the course in New Hampshire today to compete in the DIII East Regional hosted by Suffolk University. The Lancers were led by junior Leah Berg (Worcester, MA) who finished in 127th place with a time of 25:46.55. Worcester recorded 779 points for 27th at the Championship.

 

Berg was followed across the finish line by first year Cassanda Dirsa (Bolton, MA) who claimed the 151st spot with a time of 26:40.86. Coming in at 158 was junior Kelsey Gendreau (Seekonk, MA) in a pace of 26:55.46. The junior class continued to be on the mark at the meet with Aubrey Tunnera (Marlborough, MA) claiming 197th in 30:09.23 just ahead of fellow junior Claudia Symonick (Auburn, MA) just under 30 seconds behind in 30:34.74.

 

With the conclusion of the cross country season, the distance team now shifts their focus to the Indoor Track season with their first meet on December 7th at Wesleyan.
