Men's Golf Places 15th At Williams Invitational

Williamstown, MA --- For the second consecutive week senior Bob Bruso (Auburn, MA) fell one stroke short of vying for medalist honors as he carded a two-day total of 145 (+3) to help lead Worcester State to finish in 15th out of 18 squads at the Williams Invitational at the par 71 Taconic Country Club.

Bruso fired a 72 on the first day, just one stroke off the lead before he shot a 73 this afternoon. The hosting Ephs earned the team title paced by top finisher junior Robert Camp (Raleigh, NC), who had a second day score of 69 (-2). Bruso also tied with Seb Vik (Oslo, Norway) of Tufts and Jack Ervasti (Brooklyn, NY) of Williams.

The Lancers posted identical round totals of 330 for a tournament total of 660. Sophomore Chris Ellis (Charlton, MA/St. Peter Marian) tied for 66th (167; +25) while senior Chris Brunelle (Worcester, MA/Holy Name) notched 77th (170; +28). Senior TJ Magnell (Leominster, MA) improved his scores from last week to record 86th place (178; +36) as senior Mike Horan (Billerica, MA) rounded out the group with a score of 193 (+51) who took home 93rd.

Worcester State will hit the course again on Wednesday at the Fall Blazer Invitational hosted by Elms at Chicopee Country Club.
