Harwich, MA --- Senior captain Bob Bruso has been named to the Division III All-New England team for his performance at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association championships at Captains Golf Course at the end of October. Bruso is the only member of this year's All-New England team to be tabbed to the squad in each of the last three years.
Bruso, a native of Auburn, posted a two-day total of 152 (+8) which tied for 20th in a field of 182 competitors. His finish was tied for fourth-best among Division III teams. He helped the Lancers take home 17th place as a team for the sixth highest finish among DIII schools.
Bruso had three runners-up finishes in his first three tournaments of the season before he medaled in two of his last three competitions. Bruso fired two rounds of 73 to earn first place at the Westfield State Invitational and the Nichols Bison Invitational. Bruso has been handed a gold medal in seven career tournaments.
Bruso was honored as a Division III Third-Team All-American this past spring.
12th year head coach Rich Korzec has also been selected to be the first-vice president of the NEIGA board.
