Boston, MA --- Senior David Rixham (Northbridge, MA) has been selected to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team as announced by conference media relations director Michael Ghika.

The honor for Rixham wraps up a strong fall season for the men's golf squad who posted tied for 13th at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Tournament out of 21 Division III teams held at Captains Golf Course in Brewster.

At the two-day GNAC Championships on the weekend of October 18-19, Rixham was second on the squad, tying for 21st with a score of 158 (+18).

"As our captain, he's been very supportive of his teammates during the course of the season," said third-year head coach Mark Gurski. "He's always right there trying to rally the troops and he helps keep them going."

Rixham had a strong start to his fall season as he tied for seventh individually at the Trinity Invitational with a score of 151 (+7) over the two-day tournament held at Indian Hill. En Route to Co-GNAC Golfer of the Week accolades, Rixham helped WSU place sixth among 13 teams in the competition.

He also tied for 15th individually at the Westfield State Invitational with a 79 (+8) at Tekoa Country Club.
