Lancers Grab First Win over MCLA

Worcester, MA- Gor the first time in history the Worcester State Women's Ice Hockey faced off against the MCLA trailblazers in an ECHA battle. Worcester was looking to continue their conference success after a victory over Rivier earlier this week.

The action started early with goals by first year Abbey Millman (Georgetown, MA) and graduate student Katie Puumala (Framingham, MA) to push the Lancers to an early 2-0 lead.

The second period saw the Lancers double their lead as Amy MacGlashing (Georgetown, MA) and sophomore Cailey Ryan (Acton, MA) tapped in to more goals in North Adams, MA. In just two periods of action nearly all the Lancers were involved in the shot fest as the total topped 50 shots.

Similar to the previous two periods, the Lancers were able to record another two goals on the night as both Puumala and Ryan grabbed goals number two for the night to secure the 6-0 victory in the game.
