Wise Propels Women's Indoor Track At ECAC Championships

New York, NY --- Sophomore Briana Wise (Worcester, MA/Burncoat) notched ninth in the 200 meters (26.06) and helped the 4x200 meter relay team (1:47.09) earn All-ECAC honors as the women's indoor track and field team tied for 45th at the ECAC Division III Championships held at the NYC Armory.

The 4x200 relay team, which had the third-highest finish for a team from New England in eighth place, was comprised of freshman Heidi Bezemes-Turner (Beverly, MA) and junior classmates Sarah Rafferty (Uxbridge, MA) and Mara Kralian (N. Grafton, MA).

Individually, Kralian notched 15th in both the 55 (7.46) and the long jump (5.00 meters) while freshman Hannah Werneth (N. Yarmouth, ME) tossed 15th in the shot put (11.44m).

The 4x400 meter relay team of junior Natalie Marchi (Northbridge, MA) and first-year teammates Alison Hickey (Easton, MA), Megan Taylor (Danvers, MA) and Kristen Wilson (Tewksbury, MA) rounded out the field with a time of 4:11.28 for 22nd place.

The meet wrapped up an outstanding indoor season for the Lancers as they look ahead to the outdoors.
