Buzzards Bay, MA --- Junior Briana Wise (Worcester, MA/Burncoat) has been selected as the Co-MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week and sophomore Hannah Werneth (N. Yarmouth, ME) was named the Co-MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week as both helped lead Worcester State to their third-consecutive conference crown this past weekend at Southern Maine.

Wise, who has been distinguished by the MASCAC for the fourth-time this season, set MASCAC/New England Alliance records by claiming top finishes and setting new competition standards in the 55 meters (7.23) and the 200 meters (25.30) before she helped anchor the 4x200 meter relay squads first-place time to reset the meet record (1:45.55).

She also has the eighth-best 60 meter time in the NCAA Division III and has a good chance at claiming a spot at the Indoor Championships next month as the top 15 make the field.

Werneth placed first in the MASCAC/Allliance in the shot put to reset the school record with a toss of 12.30 meters (40-4.25) in the shot put. With her mark from this past weekend, Werneth is currently ranked third in New England, seventh in the ECAC Division III and 29th in all divisions of New England.

Attleboro, MA) new Alliance record in the 55 meter dash (7.39) and first-year Brittany Hodgerney's (Leicester, MA) top place in the 400 meters (1:00.98).

With her times from this past weekend Deininger moved into 12th on the NCAA Division III Indoor performance list in the 60 meter hurdles (9.02) and 14th in the 60 meters (7.85). Kralian is tied for ninth in the DIII New England list 27th in the 400.
