Buzzards Bay, MA --- Junior Megan Taylor (Danvers, MA) has been named MASCAC Female Field Athlete of the Week for her standout performance this past weekend at the Harvard Open.
Taylor posted fourth place finish with a personal-best leap of 1.55 meters (5-1) in the high jump to qualify for the Division III New England Championships in March.
She finished the meet with seventh in the 400 meters (1:00.84) to stamp her ticket to the DIII New England meet and 22nd in the 200 (27.39).
Last season, Taylor was a point scorer on a pair of relay teams that took home Division III New England accolades as the squad posted its first top-10 finish since the 1995-96 campaign and broke the team record for points scored at both meets.
She helped the 4x400 indoor relay squad take sixth at the DIII New England meet and the 4x400 outdoor team place third.
Taylor was also a MASCAC Champion in the 400 meter hurdles to help the Blue and Gold capture their second conference championship in the last three seasons.
The Lancers will open their second-semester schedule with Tufts on January 12 at Tufts.
