NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Worcester State University men's and women's indoor track & field teams each received one Division III All-Region selection from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Representing the Worcester State men's team was senior Eddy Acuna (Newton, Mass.). On the women's side, classmate Abigail MacGregor (Salem, N.H.).
To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-five individuals in their event in their respective region.
Acuna earned the honor for his performance in the shot put at the Division III New England Regionals on February 28. His heave of 15.31 meters was good for third in New England this season.
MacGregor received All-Region honors with New England's third best time in the 200 meter dash on the year. She achieved the season-best time of 25.82 seconds on March 7 at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet.
