Worcester, MA- Back from the holiday break and kicking off 2025, the Worcester State Men's basketball team (3-7, 0-0) is back on the home court to face off against their third NESCAC foe of the season, welcoming Williams to Brissette for an afternoon battle. Worcester aims to kick off their new year on the winning side of the record as they begin their final charge into conference play.

How it Happened:
The first half saw the Lancers looking to get their feet in 2025 with Williams fast off the break. The Ephs would go 54.8% from the field while the Lancers struggled at 13.2% for a slow opening 20 minutes that found Worcester down 41 to 14 in first half action.
The second half saw a turn around in offensive attack for Worcester as they upped their shooting percentage to 35.7% from the field and 75% from the free throw line to cut into the Williams charge and grab more grounding on offense. Even with the strong push in the second Worcester would be unable to cut deep into the Ephs lead, falling 74-40. Senior Brandon Goris (Bron, NY) would lead the Lancers with 10 points in the afternoon while first year Camdyn Shoesmith (Bedford, MA) would end the game with 10 rebounds.
