Men's Cross Country Takes Eighth At Tri-State Invitational

 

LINCOLN, R.I. --- Junior Will Whearty (Walpole, Mass.) timed 29:56.52 for 34th place to help pace the Worcester State men's cross country team to eighth overall at the Tri-State's Invitational this morning.

The Lancers scored 221 points on host CCRI's Flanagan Campus 8k course.

Freshman Robert Davis (Acton, Mass.) wasn't too far behind in 37th (30:05.87) while sophomore Daniel Brunelle (Dracut, Mass.) added 53rd (31:30.45) and freshman Mitchell Cupp (N. Attleboro, Mass.) notched 59th (32:19.05).

Freshman John Newcomb (Chelmsford, Mass.) and sophomore Jeffrey Davis (Old Lyme, Conn.) came in 71st (33:40.75) and 85th (35:29.39), respectively, to round out the finishers for the Blue and Gold.

Next week Worcester State will compete at the James Early Invitational hosted by Westfield State.
