Worcester, MA- Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country first year, James Riley (Shrewsbury, MA), was named both Runner and Rookie of the Week for the MASCAC after a strong finish in their race on Friday afternoon at Lehigh University.

Riley finished with a personal best time of 28:09.2 in the 8k race as the first Lancer across the finish line at the Paul Short Invitational. The race at Lehigh included over 340 competitors and 40 teams from across DI, DII and DIII.

Riley and the Men’s Cross-Country team are back to the races on Saturday when they take part in the James Early Invitational in Westfield, MA.
