MASCAC Weekly Softball Release
Buzzards Bay, MA --- Worcester State junior right hander Hannah Everson (Methuen, MA) has earned the nod as this week's MASCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for posting a pair of wins in a 3-1 week for the Lancers.
Everson fanned 14 in 15.1 innings for WSU as she recorded six punch outs in a 3-2 eight inning triumph over Rhode Island College before she capped off the week with seven strikeouts in a 4-3 MASCAC win over Westfield State.
Everson is currently 3-4 with a 3.61 earned run average to go with 46 strikeouts in 47.1 innings. She is currently tied third in the MASCAC standings in complete games (7) while she is tied for fifth in strikeouts, sixth in ERA and eighth in innings. She has only yielded 11 extra base hits this season and seven walks.
Last season as a sophomore, Everson posted a 10-3 mark as she fanned 86 in 90 innings. Her sparkling 1.56 ERA was good for second in the conference while she was fifth in the final league standings in wins and opposing batting average (.216).
The Lancers will play two twinbills on the road next week at 4 PM including Clark on Tuesday and at Salem State.
