Keene State Sweeps Women's Volleyball 3-0

Keene, NH --- Sophomore Joanne Grenier (Orange, MA) and freshman Becky Lebel (Millbury, MA) each combined for 17 digs, but it was not enough to defeat Keene State this evening. The Owls rolled to a 3-0 victory to improve to 13-15 while Worcester State slips to 11-13 overall.

The Lancers fell in three straight sets 25-9, 25-15 and 25-14.

Senior Lauren Saylor (Swansea, MA) paced the effort with five kills and six digs while Brittany Stoddard racked up 11 assists and seven digs. Grenier also finished with a team-best nine digs while Lebel notched eight.

WSC had no answer for KSC sophomore Ellyse Davis (Londonberry, NH), who had a match-best 16 kills as she connected for a blistering .625 hitting percentage (16-1-24). Davis also had two solo blocks to her credit.

Second-year Tiffani Brooks (Salem, CT) and classmate Bridget O'Bryant (Merrimack, NH) each recorded seven kills for Keene State while senior Jordan Pokryfki (Wassilla, AK) handed out 34 assists. 

The Owls ended the contest with eight team service aces while the Lancers actually dug the ball out more than Keene State did (37-34).

Worcester State heads to Trinity (CT) for a 7:30 matchup on Friday evening.
