Worcester, MA- Kicking off the MASCAC weekly awards this season is senior Angela Colonis (Waterford, CT) who was named both Offensive and Defensive Player of the week for the opening week of MASCAC action. The Lancers went 1-1 in their Saturday matches dropping the first match 3-1 to Wentworth before taking Johnson and Wales to five sets for the 3-2 victory.
Colonis finished with 38 digs, 18 kills, a .209 hitting percentage, 30 assists, five service aces and two block assists in a 1-1 week for the Lancers. Had nine kills, 13 assists, 18 digs and two aces in the 3-2 win over Johnson and Wales. Added nine kills, 17 assists, three aces and 20 digs in the 3-1 setback to Wentworth.
The Lancers Volleyball team is back in action tomorrow as they head to Regis College for a 7pm match.
