ROXBURY, Mass. – Worcester State University's sophomore high jumper, Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) was named the All New England High Jump champion on Saturday as he and teammate Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) helped his team to a 14th place finish amongst a group of Division I, II, and III New England teams in attendance.

RECAP
Lewis, who just marked an indoor personal record of 2.14m/7-00.25 last week, jumped for the same height in a jump off this weekend at the All New England Championships and won the individual title in the event, scoring 10 points for his team.
Vieira also scored points for the Lancers as he came in 6th place in the weight throw with a distance of 17.74m/57-10.50.
Edward Boamah (Worcester, Mass.) competed in two events (200 and 400 meters), and earned a personal record of 22.63 in the 200 Meter. Marques Johnson (West Hartford, Conn.) also attained a personal record of 1:06.79 in his event of the 500 Meter Dash. John Ojukwu (Stow, Mass.) and Anthony Christo (Peabody, Mass.) also qualified to compete in the meet.
Overall, the Lancers competed very well and came in third place among the Division III schools in attendance.
UP NEXT
Next Saturday (Feb. 10) both the men's and women's indoor track & field teams travel to Providence to take part in the MASCAC/Alliance Championships.
