First year Emily John's (Clinton, MA) would expand the Lancer lead to 3-0 as Worcester was on the hunt for their first win of their new MASCAC conference. In the final 30 seconds of the first, Carlson would net her second of the night off of yet another rebound finishing the period 4-0 over the Rams.
Worcester would slow down in the second but still expand their lead as sophomore Abbey Millman (Georgetown, MA) would nab the perfect pace out front from fellow sophomore Kelly Lovett (Peabody). The scoring would not stop when junior Lea Gaspar (Chelmsford, MA) grabbed goal number six. Rounding out her scoring on the night was Franta who nabbed her third goal of the game to extend the lead to 6-0. Franta would add. Second period icing on the cake when she nabbed goal number seven for Worcester to carry a 7-0 lead into the second intermission.
The third period would find no slow down for Worcester as Millman would again find the path to Lovett to make a match for goal number 8. Franta would hit the hat trick in the third as she continued to promote the Lancer offense just after Millman's score.
At the end of the night Worcester came home with the 9-0 conference win on the night as all three Lancer goalkeepers of sophomore Lana Pacific (Marlborough, MA), senior Kelsey Czerniawski (Chicopee, MA), and first year Maverick Margraf (Charla, MN) combined for 20 saves in the night for the win.
