PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Worcester State Men's Golf Team took the golf course for the first time this fall on Tuesday morning at the picturesque Berkshire Hills Country Club for the Trailblazer Invitational, hosted by MCLA.

The Lancers competed against Rhode Island College, Cobleskill (two teams "A" and "B"), Westfield State, MCLA, and Green Mountain at the 6,705 yards, par 72 course, placing fifth with a team total of 339 in one round.

Rhode Island College and Cobleskill "A" tied with a team total of 321, but the Anchormen won the tiebreaker to take home the medal. The Anchormen won the competition due to Tim Welles' 85 besting Cobleskill's Dylan Mulyihill by a single stroke.

Junior golfer, Patrick Sharron (Boylston, Mass.) completed the round with a score of 79, tying for sixth place out of 36 golfers at the event.

Following Sharron's strong performance at the invite, sophomore Mike Jezierski (Thompson, Conn.) recorded an 83 on the course, tying for 15^th place individually.

Finishing up the round for the Lancers was sophomore Eddie Peladeau (Douglas, Mass.), sophomore Brett Erelli (Lynn, Mass.), and sophomore Quinn Indio (Acushnet, Mass.) who carded 87, 90, and 91, respectively.
