    Hershey, PA --- Junior captain Bob Bruso has been named a PING Division III Third-Team All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Bruso is the first Worcester State student-athlete to receive the award WSC Hall of Famers Scott Fairbanks and Jim Bombard were honored in 1984.

    North Dartmouth, MA --- The Worcester State men's golf team finished the Hampton Inn Invitational, hosted by UMass Dartmouth, in 12th out of 18 teams. The Lancers ended the two-day tournament with a team score of 682 which was 56 strokes off of Elms who won the event held at the par 72 Allendale Country Club.

Bruso was second overall with a score of 148 (+4) on the first day with a 69 (-3) before he fired a 79 (+7) on the second day of competition.

Bruso carded a 145 (+5) over the course of the weekend to settle for eighth overall. Bruso finished 10 strokes off the lead of medalist Jeff Santora of Salem State.
